Gail Mallimson is a visual storyteller working in multiple mediums who lives in San Francisco. She is an award-winning documentary filmmaker and an accomplished non-profit communications and marketing consultant. She is currently working on a graphic novel/memoir that portrays her humorous lifelong trials and tribulations as a (quasi) empowered heterosexual feminist.
Gail received a BFA from Purchase College, where she studied painting and photography. After college, she worked as a professional photographer and received an MA from NYU, where she studied documentary film. Her years as an editor, director, and producer of films and videos refined her ability to portray real-life stories with insight and beauty. She is passionate about human rights and equity, the arts, education, and the environment.
For seven years, Gail was the Director of Development Communications & Donor Relations at San Francisco State University, She currently works as a communications consultant, helping nonprofits and small businesses to successfully refine and present their identities to donors, clients, customers, and community members.
